When you’ve played enough Call of Duty Modern Warfare or War zoneIt’s likely that you’ve unlocked at least a couple of duplicate XP tokens, or 2XP tokens as the game calls them. These were mostly available in the seasonal battle passes of the games where they shared progress. These tokens gave double experience rewards for periods of time like 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or even up to an hour. However, after the first season update on Wednesday, none of these tokens will work anymore War zone
When War zone Players who logged into the game after the update were many surprised to see the 2XP tokens they had collected in previous seasons was just gone from their menus. As it turned out, the tokens weren’t technically gone, they are simple only usable in Modern Warfare nowbut not in War zone. The players weren’t satisfied.

The likely reason for this deactivation is that the new seasonal update also added new levels for players and new weapons for upgrades – which would have been affected by the 2XP tokens. Which might have progressed a little faster than Treyarch and Activision originally intended.
Of course, just because the old tokens no longer work doesn’t mean there aren’t any tokens at all. Instead, Treyarch has introduced its own 2XP tokens that can be earned (or bought) in the new one Black Ops Cold War/.War zone Season 1 Battle Pass. Make sure to use them during the Black Ops Cold War season so they don’t suddenly get trapped behind a game you don’t own when the next game in the series comes out.
