McDonald’s is a huge fast food empire with 38,695 locations in 122 countries. It’s become so ubiquitous in the real world that I’m sure the company would explore franchise opportunities in fictional worlds if it could, even in the famously chaotic realm of Tamriel.
ON recently The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind mod imagine such a scenario and place a new facility called McDagoth’s in Balmora. It is not all McDonald’s – even if the logo and uniforms look very similar to real restaurants – with menu items like that Big guar and Skooma is trembling rather than McRibs and McNuggets.
I have to say some of the food seems, well, questionable. Are the quarter khajiit with cheese and gonian nuggets actually made from these playable species, or just cute names to seduce Morrowind’s kids? In any case, the mod is too Allows players to purchase their own McDagoth’s hatand a future update could allow new franchises to open in other cities.
Since its release in 2002 Morrowind has a productive modding community that keeps the game fresh and vital. Adding a McDonald’s spoof to one of the main settlements may not have been on the same level as improving the graphics or controls, but it made me laugh.
