MrBeastone of the most popular content creators in the world, is seen by many as a family-friendly and mostly good guy who does a lot of charitable work. But recent controversies, including one over his past use of foul language, have cast dark shadows over the famous YouTuber’s vast empire.
Jimmy Donaldson, better known on the internet as MrBeast, has become one of the most famous online personalities, mainly thanks to his extremely popular videos, which often feature giving away large sums of money to charity or as a prize in a major competition. The YouTuber is also known for politically neutral and family-friendlyoften avoiding foul language and violence in his content. This has helped him gain over 300 million subscribers on YouTube, sell a lot of candy bars and merchandise, and lead to him reportedly being paid $100 million for Host and develop a reality game show for AmazonBut his nice-guy empire seems to be encountering resistance.
On July 24 A clip of the then 18 to 19-year-old MrBeast from 2017 resurfaced online. In the clip posted by YouTube influencer Rosanna Pansino, MrBeast jokes about buying black people and “N-words” for $300. Later in the video clip, MrBeast utters a homophobic slur and jokingly asks his chat to stop posting the “N-word.” At one point, someone claims they sell black people for $69, to which MrBeast replies, smiling and laughing, “That’s a hefty price.”
In a separate clip allegedly from 2017MrBeast and others speak on a podcast and joke about having sex with 14-year-old rapper Bhad Barbie.
“When Jimmy was a teenager, he behaved like many other kids and used inappropriate language while trying to be funny,” A spokesman for MrBeast said The Associated Press.
“Over the years, he has apologized repeatedly and learned that with increasing influence comes increasing responsibility to be more aware and sensitive to the power of language. After making some bad jokes and other mistakes in his youth, as an adult he focused on engaging with the MrBeast community to work together to create positive impact around the world.”

There are more MrBeast controversies
It’s not just old clips of MrBeast that haunt the internet star. A video created by someone claiming to have worked for MrBeast in the past suggests that some of the competitions he hosts are staged, with actors or friends winning prizes.
And in late July, MrBeast cut ties with Ava Kris Tyson after allegations that his former co-host molested a minor years ago. MrBeast later said in a statement that what Tyson did was “unacceptable.” The author has now commissioned an external investigator in the hope that they will “make sure” that he is clear about all the facts.
But wait, that’s not all that’s undermining MrBeast’s good guy empire. There have been numerous reports and rumors that his Amazon reality show, which comes with a $5 million prize pool, is a dangerous disaster. A new report from the New York Times Allegations that people are not being properly fed, have been repeatedly injured and do not receive adequate medical care.
Some women reported being denied clean underwear when their periods began, and others reported being denied access to their medication when they needed it.
A spokesman for MrBeast told the newspaper that filming was “complicated by the CrowdStrike incidentextreme weather conditions and other unexpected logistical and communication issues.” The spokesperson claimed that MrBeast has initiated a formal review and “taken steps to ensure we learn from this experience.”
For the famous content creator, his days of being known as the good guy online seem to be coming to an end as he tries to continue to expand his empire.
