MultiVersus‘ Season 1 begins August 15 and Morty (from Rick and Morty) joins the Warner Bros. list. Ensemble Smash-style fighting game on August 23rd aloud the game’s official Twitter account.
It ends with a delay of about a week; Player First Games originally planned to launch season one on August 9, but backtracked last week, saying the game needed more spice and polish. MultiVersus
The free-to-play game currently has a roster of 17 characters that can be unlocked with in-game currency earned while playing or with premium currency sold in the free-to-play game’s marketplace . A datamine leak in March said characters like Harry Potter, Fred Flintstone and even Gizmo from the 1984s gremlins
Morty was supposed to join the game with the Season 1 tip and Rick sometime after that. Season 1 will also add a “classic arcade mode” that appears to be a PvE round-robin against AI enemies, and sometime after August 15th, a multiplayer leaderboard MultiVersus Twitter account advise players that “everything we bring to you in Season 1 isn’t going to be released on the same day,” and as such, stay tuned for further release date announcements.
