Season 4 from Modern Warfare 3 And War zone will be released on May 29th and marks the next major update for Activision’s hugely popular shooter.

As always, a new season means new maps, modes, weapons, and other additions. While last season featured crossovers with Snoop Dogg, Cheech & Chong, and Godzilla, Season 4 seems to be going a little more normal—ah, wait, there’s a Gundam crossover.

MW3 Season 4 Release Date: When will the new MW3 season start?

Modern Warfare 3 Season 4 and War zone Season 4 starts on Wednesday, May 29at the same time in all regions of the world. Here’s when it will be released in your time zone:

• 9am PDT for the west coast of North America
• 12pm EDT for the east coast of North America
• 17:00 BST for Great Britain
• 18:00 CEST for Western Europe / Paris
• 1am JST on 30 May for Tokyo

Based on previous seasons, the update is expected to roll out approximately 24 hours before the times listed above on Tuesday.

What’s new in Season 4 of MW3?

As usual, Modern Warfare 3 will add a lot of new content at the start of Season 4, with more planned for a mid-season update. The full list of additions can be found summarized in the graphic above (or in detail on the Activision Blog), but we’ve listed the highlights below.

MW3 Season 4 – new maps, modes and weapons

• Modern Warfare 3 receives two new weapons at the start of Season 4: the Superi46 SMG and the Kar98k Sniper rifle with repeating mechanism.
• Medium-sized core cards based on Paris And Tokyo will add to the list of levels in Modern Warfare 3‘s multiplayer. Meanwhile, in War zoneYou can expect four variants on the Gulag in Urzikstanbut no other major map changes (“not yet,” as Activision ominously noted in its blog post).
• The tactical demolition -mode and the Hyper-cranked Twist in Team Deathmatch will be available at the start of Season 4 in Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer. War zone will be the return of Buy back Royale Solos in Urzikstan, where you are not revived via the Gulag, but can burn your in-game money to go back into battle.
• Finally, five operators will be included from the start of Season 4: Johnny “Soap” McTavish, hammer, Empty, CheatedAnd Copy.

MW3 Season 4 Midseason Maps, Modes, and Weapons

• Two new weapons are added Modern Warfare 3 in the midseason update: the Reclaimer 18 Shotgun and a Sledgehammer Melee weapon.
• The new cards coming in the Season 4 Midseason Update are Tilta research base on a snow-capped mountain, and The Grossa horror variation of the House map from previous Calls of Duty.
• chaos returns to Call of Duty, halfway through the Modern Warfare 3 Season 4, for the first time since the old Modern Warfare 2 days (2022, a hundred years ago).

MW3 Season 4 Gundam Skins

There can be no new Modern Warfare 3 Season without anything obviously ridiculous. This time, it’s Gundam. Activision said three packs – which you can see in the gallery above – will be available in the in-game store on dates yet to be determined over the course of Season 4, along with a Gundam-themed event that will speed up your progress if you equip one of the three skins.
