Knife out, the hit 2019 whodunnit from Star Wars: The Last Jedi Director Rian Johnson gets two sequels and they are now exclusive to Netflix.
According to Variety, Netflix bought the sequel rights for the absolutely staggering price of $ 450 million. The aggressive sum locks the streamer as home for two more puzzles starring Daniel Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc, with writer and director Rian Johnson staying on board. The next film is expected to be shot in Greece this year.
Knife out It was a wise throwback to the Agatha Christie-style murder mystery in all its trappings: a cast full of eccentric people stuck together in one place and each with their own little motives for murder, and an eccentric detective determined to find out their secrets and Revealing Secrets Find the truth – often with an incredibly fun salon scene where the audience can put it all together. The film was delighted at the box office, grossing $ 311 million on a budget of $ 40 million. That made it extremely profitable – and with an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay, the film was also a major success.
