On Thursday, Netflix announced via Twitter that the service had directed three South Korean feature films Squid game Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk available for streaming in the US. This announcement comes in the wake of Squid game became the most popular original series on Netflix after the first season debut in September.
The 2011 crime drama is one of those films Silenced with Gong Yoo appearing in Squid game; the 2014 comedy drama Miss Grandma

Based on real events, Silenced follows Kang In-ho (Gong Yoo), a newly hired art teacher at a school for hearing impaired children, who uncovers a devastating sexual assault conspiracy among the school’s teaching staff. Miss Grandma
Squid game is one of several Korean shows and features, including Bong Joon-ho’s Oscar-winning black comedy thriller parasite and Park Chan-wook’s erotic psychological thriller The maid, has seen exuberant commercial and critical success in the United States in recent years. The series has not yet been officially renewed for a second season by Netflix, and Hwang Dong-hyuk made one Interview with diversity that he can return to directing functions before leaving Squid game and that he hadn’t come up with any ideas for the second season.
