New Dead Space Remake will only be next-gen

This is not an exercise: Dead space is no longer dead in space. EA’s famous science fiction horror series is kind of revived. The new game will indeed be a complete remake of the first game, as recent rumors suggest. EA announced Today the news at its EA Play Showcase It comes for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC. Here is the first trailer:

A resuscitation of the long dead Dead space The franchise, led by EA Motive, has reportedly been in the works for some time Eurogamer and Gematsu. Earlier this year GamesBeat reported that a completely new entry wouldn’t happen, in favor of a remake.

Dead space, developed by Visceral Games, came out in 2008. A sequel followed in 2011. The first two games were really tense, terrifying horror games and were therefore well received. A third game Dead space 3, dodged its creepy roots in favor of an action-based premise that even included cooperative play. It was fun. It wasn’t exactly either “Dead space“, At least for those who loved the first two and wanted the series to continue the tradition established at the time.

2017, four years later Dead space 3 came out, EA has shut down Visceral (those at the time on a seemingly ambitious war of stars Game). Visceral’s former VP, Glen Schofield, is currently running a studio developing a new survival horror game. This means The Callisto Protocol, and it’s set in … that PUBG Universe. Yes sure why not?

A Dead space Remake isn’t all that surprising and pretty much in line with EA’s new strategy of capitalizing on nostalgia. EA released earlier this year Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, a bundled package that contained remastered versions of BioWare’s popular science fiction series. The long dormant one Ice skate The series is finally coming back. If the mega-publisher continues like this, hey, maybe we’ll get a remake or even a proper sequel to Insomniac will be underrated Fuse? Wait no where are you going!
