Nintendo will air a new Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday, February 21st, discussing Switch games releasing in the first half of 2024. The company announced this on Monday. The new Nintendo Direct starts at 9 a.m. EST/6 a.m. PST and will last approximately 25 minutes, Nintendo says.
Wednesday’s Direct will be shown on Nintendos Youtube And Pull out Channels. The presentation is on-demand, meaning the entire presentation goes live at once.
Nintendo notes that its latest Nintendo Direct presentation is a partner showcase, meaning the video showcase will focus on third-party publishers and developers. In other words, don’t expect a major breakthrough on Nintendo’s first-party roster.
Nintendo’s currently announced first-party offering includes Switch games Princess Peach Showtime!, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HDAnd Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Gate. Of course, Nintendo also has some surprises in store. The company still has it Metroid Prime 4 on the release schedule and is rumored to be working on a handful of remakes and remasters.
It’s less likely that the company’s next console will be released during the Nintendo Direct in February. “Switch 2” is rumored to be released sometime in 2025.
