New Vegas director says he’s ready to make another Fallout

Many Stand out Consider fans Fallout: New Vegas the best game in the series. So people have long wanted a sequel or a similar spin-off, led by New Vegas Game Director Josh Sawyer. And according to him, he’s willing to do it, provided Bethesda doesn’t restrict him too much.

Developed by Obsidian and released in 2010, Fallout: New Vegas took Bethesda’s Fallout3 technology and built a new game out of it. The end result is a popular open-world RPG that people will still be talking about and playing a lot in 2024. (For example, people freaked out At the beginning of the year, when the youngest Stand out The television show seemed to hint at New Vegas no more canon.) And since then New Vegas Developer Obsidian and Stand out Owner Bethesda were both under the umbrella of Microsoft, people wondered if a New Vegas 2 could ever happen. Although the game’s director did not confirm or deny anything, he at least said that he would be willing to make another Stand out.

In a video Q&A and discovered by GamesRadar, Sawyer answered a number of fan questions about his previous projects, thoughts on game design, and general questions about RPGs. Towards the end of the video, someone asked him what he would answer if Microsoft or Bethesda asked him to create another Stand out Game.

“Uhhhhhh, sure,” said Sawyer, followed by some laughterHowever, he explained that he had some questions before boarding a new Stand out Consequence.

“I think every project comes down to the question: What are we doing? What are the boundaries? What can I do and what can’t I do?” explains Sawyer.

For Sawyer, freedom seems to be the most important thing. He said he would only intervene if he saw a new Stand out (or any game based on an existing intellectual property) if it were not overly restricted by the owner of the intellectual property.

“I think with any intellectual property, especially one that I’ve worked with before, the question is, what do I want to do this time that I couldn’t do last time? And if those limitations are really limiting, that’s not very appealing because who wants to work on something where what they want to explore can’t be explored?” Sawyer said.

He then reiterated that he still loves the Stand out franchise, adding: “I think there are still a lot of stories there that can be told and questions that can be asked about society.”

Sawyer concluded his answer by pointing out that this is the case when working with any intellectual property and that it ultimately comes down to “what we are allowed to do and what we are not allowed to do with the characters and the world.”

So is it possible that Sawyer will take the lead? a new Stand out game, maybe even a New Vegas track? Yes. But Bethesda has to allow the famous designer to do what he and the team want, otherwise they have no interest in playing in this radioactive wasteland.
