For two years, a strange statue and set of six characters, FF 06 B5, have been in cyberpunk‘s Night City was a siren song for mystery hunters. Despite thorough dives down many rabbit holes of theorizing and investigative work, the mystery of their true meaning or significance has remained unsolved. It’s been confirmed to be an actual puzzle intended for players to unbox, and now a new twist has emerged, this time in a different game. When you launch the latest version of The witcher 3 and go on to Destroyed bastion in Velen, you will discover a new icon added to the game via the latest update. But it hides behind a little secret. It looks like this:
In order to find the symbol itself, switches on walls in the area must be activated. Each of the three destroyed buildings here has a switch. At the moment it’s not confirmed if these switches were in the game before the new update (although it’s safe to assume they probably weren’t). Activating all of these switches will spawn an earth elemental for you to fight. Defeating it will open a portal resembling a stone archway on a nearby hill. Creepy stuff so far. But there is more.
Said portal will lead you to a tower. Descending the tower will send you through rooms containing seemingly invincible specters. To get out you need to activate some crystals with the Aard charm sign (once you’ve played through The witcher 3‘s campaign, you will recognize these enemies from various quests). This portal will throw you back to the main world. But within this dark and deadly final chamber lies the mysterious symbol in question.

What does this symbol mean? Well, right off the bat, the forked pattern in the center of the red triangle is essentially what drew fans to the FF 06 B5 connection. It perfectly matches the icon that is on the front Cyberpunk 2077 statue that started this whole mess of theories and mystery hunts.
The meaning of this symbol was subject of intense speculation itself. Many believe it has to do with the various branching storylines cyberpunk; others have scoured the game matching iconography elsewhere in his world and possible connections to other pop culture works. Some suspect there is a connection old number systems. But if anyone had any doubts, that connection too cyberpunk was intentional, have the noses of Reddit more excavated. Translating the symbols encircling the triangle shows the following: FF VQ BZ, as well as some other characters.
What does it all mean? Well if you think you have the answer then go for it r/FF06B5 and make sure your theory hasn’t already been documented or discarded.
