Crazy and prolific actor Nicolas “Nic” Cage comes to the asymmetric survival horror game Dead by daylight on July 25th. If you know anything about him, you would expect his speech lines to be completely off the rails. Well, they’re so out of whack that people on TikTok are wondering about Cage’s dedication to his latest role.

After the leak earlier this year, developer Behavior Interactive confirmed that the Cageman would join the game as a survivor during Summer Game Fest with a reveal trailer. Survivors are one of the many playable characters in the asymmetrical 4v1 horror sim that focuses on escaping as quickly as possible the killers that have players hooking them to meat hooks in order to sacrifice them to an otherworldly being. whoops
At the time, we had no real idea of how Cage would play his Survivor, though he said it was an “over-the-top, over-the-top version of a movie actor of the same name.” That means it’s crazy and wild, right? Well yes, but I don’t know if you’re even prepared for how crazy Cage’s voice lines are in this game. Buckle up.
OK, what’s up? He screams his heart out and babbles in like Jim Carrey Ace Ventura or something, and sing the infamous Halloween Tune like he’s in an 80’s hair metal band. Nick Cage too apparently has 185 voice lines in the game. And the one who absolutely pisses me off, aside from doing that Halloween The theme is that his character calls out “I’m Nic Fucking Cage” several times. I would love it if he used that phrase in a movie scene one day.

Accordingly People who have chosen to do so the public test build (PTB) of the game via Steam, Nic Cage is the “best survivor”because of his perks. Not only are they hilarious, but they also seem to be quite effective, offering an opportunity to drastically change the meta, which can often feel a little dated.
One perk, Scene Partners, activates whenever Cage is within the killer’s terror radius – he yells hilariously before giving players a chance to see the killer’s outline for a few seconds. There’s a chance he’ll yell ridiculously again, giving them a longer view of where the killer is lurking.
Then there’s Plot Twist, an active ability that basically allows players to fake their own death – they go into the “death state” but don’t leave a trail of blood or whimper to alert the killer to their location to draw attention to. When you recover from this feigned dying state, you will be fully healed and your movement speed will be temporarily increased.
The dramaturgy will make Cage’s run one Looney Tunes-style knee-high gallop that increases movement speed and then randomly triggers one of several effects that can either help or hurt your game (you could be exposed to the killer or get a rare item randomly).
Dead by daylight Streamer SpookyLoopz uploaded a YouTube video on July 5th that fully demonstrates Nic Cage’s character. He has some pretty funny lore that the character believes in Dead by daylight The world is part of some scripts and even funnier animations in the game, such as his scream.
“This is Nicolas Cage,” SpookyLoopz said. “The man, the myth, the legend – the first celebrity we ever met [Dead By Daylight]. Great, super excited [character]. […] He’s easily the funniest survivor in the game.”
In a press release Announcing Nic Cage’s introduction to Dead by daylightMathieu Côté, Head of Partnerships at Behavior Interactive at PTB, praised the actor.
