Nintendo will air a new Nintendo Direct presentation on Tuesday, June 18, highlighting Switch titles coming in 2024, the company said in a press release Monday.
The Nintendo Direct lasts approximately 40 minutes and begins at 10 a.m. EDT/7 a.m. PDT. The showcase will be broadcast on Nintendo’s Youtube And Pull out channels. Nintendo currently only has a few Switch games with confirmed release dates: Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD And Nintendo World Championships: NES EditionOf course, the company could still have a few surprises in store. Nintendo still has Metroid Prime 4 on the agenda and rumors say the company has a handful of remakes and remasters of its previous games.
It has been confirmed that the company’s next console will not appear during June’s Nintendo Direct. In May, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said, “We will hold a Nintendo Direct this June regarding the Nintendo Switch software lineup for the second half of 2024, but please note that the Nintendo Switch’s successor will not be mentioned during this presentation.” The company reiterated that message in Monday’s press release – no console news.
According to reports, the “Switch 2” is set to be released sometime in early 2025, and we may not hear official details about this next-gen console from Nintendo until fall or winter.
