One of Nintendo Switch’s most requested features, the ability to sort games into folders on the Switch UI, is finally here – five years after the system’s launch. Nintendo rolled out a new system update on Monday that allows users to create software groups to organize their Switch libraries.
Nintendo’s new Groups feature is available through the All Software Switch menu, which is visible when a user has more than 12 games on their system. Switch owners can create new groups as needed – up to 100 groups with up to 200 tracks per group. In an example of groups tweeted by Nintendo On Monday, folders named Mario Games, Zelda Games, Old School, and others will appear.

Added Groups feature to All Software menu.
- You can now create software groups to organize your software titles.
- Creating groups for different game genres, developers, or whatever you want to organize can make it easier to find the application you want.
- Up to 100 groups can be created with a maximum of 200 tracks per group.
- The button to continue to the All Software screen is only displayed if there are 13 or more software title icons on the system.

Changed Bluetooth audio volume behavior.
- You can now adjust the volume of Bluetooth audio devices using either the Nintendo Switch™ console or the volume controls on the Bluetooth audio device.
- The Bluetooth audio device must support AVRCP profiles for these changes to work.
- The volume displayed on the console reflects the Bluetooth audio volume when using the device control buttons.
- Increased maximum volume output for some Bluetooth audio devices.
- When you connect a device for the first time, the volume is reduced to avoid sudden loud noises.
