Nintendo added a boatload of Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games to the Nintendo Switch during Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct. This is welcome news, as porting games from the Game Boy Advance will bring one of Nintendo’s best games catalogs to one of the company’s most popular consoles.

Nintendo is starting small – Subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack can access six Game Boy Advance games, with more on the way. Highlights include one of the best Mario games of all time, Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish CapAnd Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

games like The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap were difficult to play on a modern console. If you didn’t have a Wii U, you pretty much had to pay for a printed copy. For me, riding cap represented the height of stylized pixel art from the graphics. It blended the look of classic 16-bit SNES Zelda games like A connection to the past with a stunning, detailed and delightfully cartoonish art style reminiscent of The Wind Waker.

Then there is Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. The turn-based RPG with timed attacks introduced me to one of Mario’s funniest franchises. It gave players cartoonish and colorful pixel art and coupled with a large dose of Mario and Luigi’s personality. I will always remember that he served us the greatest Cry Baby version of Luigi we have seen to date. Perfect!

And while I think I’d still prefer owning my games, I’ll certainly appreciate Nintendo continuing to make one of its finest catalogs available to more people. Nintendo announced this Kuru Kuru Kururin, which was previously only available in Japan. like bangers Metroid Fusion And Kirby and the Amazing Mirror are already on the way. Now I just hope we get one Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire Harbor. (Or maybe you know, a mother 3 one?) A girl can dream!
