The first game since 2005 with Princess Peach in the main role will be released on March 22nd on Switch. That’s not far anymore. And while we have a demo for Princess Peach: Showtime and have seen many trailers for it, we still don’t know who actually developed it show time. Oddly enough, when asked directly, Nintendo only said that people would have to wait for the game to come out and then check the credits.

In June 2023, Nintendo revealed Princess Peach: Showtime. The new 2.5D platformer is the first game to star the character since its release in 2005 Super Princess Peach
As reported by Eurogamer on 8th of MarchNintendo is unwilling to reveal which studio or team developed it Princess Peach: Showtime. One wouldn’t expect much mystery surrounding the fundamental question of “Who made the game?” and yet this is the answer Eurogamer received from Nintendo when it inquired about the identity of the studio behind the upcoming Princess Peach adventure.
The development team will be credited in the game credit.
That’s it. Nintendo basically told the outlet (and anyone else who cares about the team behind the game) to stop asking and just wait for the game to release. Then you can check it yourself.
My city has asked Nintendo for more information.
Good-Feel is probably the studio behind it show time
Of course, the players have already done it Data mining the newly released demo– which was released on March 6 – and discovered this Good-Feel is probably the developer behind it show time. That makes it even stranger that Nintendo is so reserved about who made the game!
Good-Feel is a trusted third-party studio that Nintendo has worked with many times. Good-Feel is the same studio behind the popular games Kirby’s Epic Yarn And Yoshi’s designed world. It’s strange why Nintendo hides this fact before release. I bet there are people who like these games and might be more inclined to try them out show time
This is similar to a situation last year Super Mario Wonder. People were curious to know who the new voice actor for Mario would be in the platform game. It was a big deal! This person replaced Charles Martinet, the longtime voice of Mario. And when asked about the new actor, Nintendo asked people to do so again wait for the credits.
While some fans have done the necessary mental gymnastics to defend this strange level of opacity, the reality is that Nintendo is simply doing what it wants because it can. And it’s a shame that many talented developers can’t speak freely about the game they worked on for years until it was officially released. Seems like a shitty way to treat the people who make your games.
