Hello Games is taking a short break from adding an entirely groundbreaking mechanic to its epic space adventure and is releasing the “Prisms” update for today Nobody’s heaven, Add fur to creatures, refract rain, make cave environments more detailed, reflective metal space stations, and much more. Oh, and you can tame and ride flying pets too.

Basically, Hello Games has updated pretty much every visual aspect of Nobody’s heaven and released these upgrades as a free update like they do. While nothing changes drastically so much is influenced somehow. Rain that makes surfaces wet instead of falling and disappearing is beautiful. I can’t believe I’ve never noticed the lack of fur in alien creatures before, but this problem is now debatable. There are more stars in the sky, updated warp effects, volumetric lights in ships and space stations, and loads more. Hello Games has also improved the photo mode and added more depth of field and bloom options.

PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC players enjoy even more detailed reflections, improved lighting, and other benefits. PC gamers with Nvidia cards can now use DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and potentially double their frame rates. Check out the Prisms Introduction video to see what all of these changes look like.

Hopefully the Hello Games team will get a well-deserved nap after this update. Probably not.
