No show is more fun than Chucky, and it’s finally coming back

Television is off to a good start in 2024. Shogun is legitimately fantastic and the kind of weekly watercooler show we’ve been missing as a culture in a post-era.game of Thrones World. Delicious in the dungeon stole my heart and my stomach. TV adaptations of Mr and Mrs Smith, The gentlemen, And The three-body problem They were all significantly better than I expected. And in the world of cape fiction, Invincible has continued its strong run and the X-Men are back! Despite all this, the television year is just beginning. There are lots of exciting shows coming up, like Park Chan-wook’s The sympathizerPrime videos Stand out Show and new seasons of Devilish, taskmaster, Interview with the vampireAnd Doctor Who.

But reader, I would be lying to you if I said there was a show I was more excited about than its return Chucky. Created by Child’s Play franchise mastermind Don Mancini, the series has taken on the reputation of killer doll movies in the best way possible. It’s wildly funny, bloodthirsty and tongue-in-cheek over-the-top (Jennifer Tilly deserves many, many Emmys) and isn’t afraid to delve into the depths of its own canon. And despite his full commitment to Campy excellence, Chucky continues to be criminally underestimated by my friends and colleagues. I implore you to correct this and join me in the cult Chucky.

After a completely bonkers (free) first half of season three that featured Chucky in the damn White House, the series returns with part two starting April 10 on USA Network and Syfy, with episodes airing the next day on Peacock be streamed. The best way to resell you Chucky is to be left Chucky sell yourself. So here is a real list of real things that happened on the real television show Chucky.

I swear that all of these things are real and really happened Chucky. The back half of the season promises even more bloody antics, with a blood-soaked White House, John Waters with a gun, what looks like a nuclear bomb explosion (Oppen-who???), and certainly another Devon Sawa murder on the way. I sincerely hope it has transformed you into that too Chucky faithful.
