Nvidia's cloud gaming service is controversial among game publishers. Unlike a competitive app like Google Stadia, which requires players to buy games through Stadia, GeForce Now allows users to stream games purchased from other stores, such as Steam, Ubisoft & # 39; s Uplay, and Epic Games Store, playing it from the cloud.
A new wave of publishers they will be rolling out their games on GeForce Now on Friday, April 24. This includes Warner Bros., Xbox Game Studios, Codemasters, and Klei Entertainment. They are following in the footsteps of other publishers who have withdrawn software from GeForce Now, including Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games.
This cuts a large chunk of the big ticket titles from the GeForce Now list, including Gears of War 4, Sea of Thieves, Halo: Collection of the Great King, and Batman: Articles of Arkham.
Nvidia has released a blog post with an update on the current situation that is hopeful for the remaining library. The post notes that 30 of 40 of the top games are played, including Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, Warframe, again Conclusion 2, currently available on GeForce Now. Publisher's catalog Ubisoft is also now being distributed on GeForce Now, joining publishers like Bandai Namco.
"After these scenes, we are partnering with digital gaming stores so publishers can mark their broadcast games on GeForce Now, when they broadcast the game," said Phil Eisler, NFidia's vice president of GeForce Now. "This will help us bring more games to the library, faster, and provide a stable catalog."
