gunsmith is one of the two secret jobs in Octopath Traveler 2 To do this, you need to collect items to unlock the skills. In particular, you must grab rusty weapons that a blacksmith will reforge for you. This secret job is a must as it’s great for Hikari and anyone you want to hit really hard to deal a lot of damage.

These weapons must be equipped to your Champion in order for them to be able to use the corresponding skill. For example, if you don’t have the Dancer’s Blade equipped, you can’t use the Dagger skill.

Most of these weapons just hang around in chests, but some of them are protected by big boss enemies that you need to defeat to get the weapon. If there is a dungeon that isn’t used in the game’s story, there’s a good chance there’s a rusty weapon guarded by a boss.

Just like the inventor items, you also need a character that can take items from NPCs and a character that can kill NPCs to get all the items. Again, we recommend Agnea and Throné.

Rusty Polearm (Warlord’s Spear) location

In the western part of Timerain Castle Town Square, a man will be blocking a door. Knock him out however you want and enter the room behind him. There will be a path east that will lead you to a chest with the Rusty Polearm

Location of Rusty Dagger (Dancer’s Blade).

The Rusty dagger is located on the Empress shipwreck which you need the boat to get to. (If you haven’t unlocked the boat yet, you’ll need to go through part of Partitio’s trading history first.)

Rusty Ax (Lionheart’s Axe) location

The breast with the Rusty Axe is clearly visible in the dungeon of Quicksand Prison, but you will be warned if you approach an ominous presence.

The chef, The Lord of the Sands, isn’t too big of a deal to complete. It’s weak too sword, dagger, axe, ice, And holy. It sometimes swallows one of your teammates, rendering them unable to do anything. So make sure you’re ready before you tackle it.

Rusty Bow (Hunter Bow) location

The Rusty Bow located in the deepest part of the Sinking Ruins, guarded by the boss behemoth.

As you approach the chest you will be warned again that there is a boss ahead.

Behemoth can be tricky because it is petrify your teammates. You can either use a healing item (Herb of Grace Potion) to heal the petrification, or you can equip an accessory (Divine Necklace) that will prevent it. Behemoth is weak too Polearm, Axe, Bow, And Ice.
