Octopath Traveler 2 job altar locations

In Octopath Traveler 2you will want to take your characters to their respective primaries altar job an unlock EX ability for them, a very powerful and useful ability reserved only for this character.

Only Main Jobs can learn EX Skills. This means that only Throné Thief can learn EX Skills, and you must take them to the Prince of Thieves Altar to learn them. You must have the appropriate character in your party to learn the skill, and side jobs cannot learn these skills at all.

All characters have two EX skills, but they can only learn their second after completing their story.

You can find most of these altars in the level 30 areas near where each job started if you look closely at the minimap as you walk around. The altar icon is depicted with multiple pillars above a rounded bottom line. So if you see that on the minimap, you can head towards it until you find the altar entrance.

Some altar entrances are clearly visible, while others are hidden under bridges or passageways that are difficult to see. Below we show where all eight job altars are located Octopath Traveler 2.

Location of Ochette’s Altar (Altar of the Huntress)

Go down to this opening on the west Tropu’hopu Traverse to get to the altar.

Ochette learns Indomitable Beastan 18 SP move that increases her physical attack, dodge, and speed for 3 turns.

Location of the Altar of Castti (Altar of Charity)

Castti’s altar is clearly visible in a large temple entrance on the north shore of Conning Creek.

Castti learns Drastic measures, an 18 SP move that attacks an enemy with an ax and negates their status ailments and debuffs. The more you pick up, the stronger the movement.

Location of Throné Altar (Altar of the Prince of Thieves)

Ride a boat south into a hidden opening in the river in Southern Clockbank Highroad.

Osvald’s Altar Location (Altar of the Scholar King)

The entrance to Osvald’s Altar is under the bridge in Western Winterbloom Snows.

Oswald learns Teacha 12 SP move that gives an ally all the buffs you have for two turns.

Location of the Altar of Partitio (Altar of the Merchant)

To get to Partitios Altar, head into this cave in Southern Crackridge Wilds and go straight through a hidden opening.

Partition learns negotiate schedulea 0 VP turn that allows Partitio to pay an enemy to let them act during their turn.

Agnea’s Altar is located in a green cave on the Northern Wellgrove Trail.

Agnea learns Windy Chorusan 18 SP attack that deals wind damage to all enemies and allows all your allies to act first on the next turn.

Location of the Temenos Altar (Altar of the Flamebringer)

The Altar of Temenos is actually in the Clerics Guild, accessed through the door in the back. The church itself is in the corner of Borderfall.

Temenus learns prayer for mucha 20 SP ability that restores a large amount of HP to a single ally and allows overhealing beyond their maximum HP.

Location of Hikari’s Altar (Altar of the Thunderblade)

Hikari’s Altar is located in the eastern Sai Sands. The entrance is under a broken roof structure.

Hikari learns Ultimate Stancea 10 SP attack that allows your basic attack to hit all enemies for 3 turns.
