It’s that time once again for Sony to announce which games will be added to its PlayStation Plus service and its various tiers in the second half of March. The list contains some solid options including a Jak and Daxter game, that Resident Evil 3 New editiona DC Lego adventure and one of my favorite Marvel games of the last decade: Midnight Suns.
Every month, PlayStation Plus subscribers get a few free games. How many you have access to depends on which tier you pay for as part of the company redesign more complicated system than it needs to be.
On March 13 PlayStation announced What new games Premium and Extra subscribers can play starting March 19th. At the top of the list is Marvel’s Midnight Suns. This turn-based comic book game combines some light life sim-esque elements, including romance and dating, with one hell of a lot of fun tactical combat that pits you against cars against classic Marvel villains like Venom. It also features a compelling narrative that’s different from anything you normally see in the MCU, which is pretty refreshing. Don’t let the card based action put you off, this is a fantastic game and well worth playing. even if you’re not the biggest superhero lover.
Also a greeting Jak and Daxter: The Lost FrontieR comes for PS4 and PS5. It’s nice to see the PSP/PS2 sequel getting more attention, and it’s also just nice to see PlayStation remembering that it owns colorful and silly franchises and not just open-world games and live games. Service things.
Anyway, here is the rest of the list. Oh, and as always, remember that you won’t get any of these games if you only pay for the Essential tier. This only applies to Premium and Extra subscribers.
