Once the scientist Marie has settled in the White Forest, Magnemite will appear in wild Pokémon encounters, which is strange since the Electric/Steel-type Pokémon is usually seen in industrial areas like power plants. But because of this anomaly, Magnemite also appears in more games than Pikachu.
The irony of Magnemite and Psyduck somehow becoming permanent characters in every main game is that they almost lost that title back then sword And Sign introduced without a national dex. Initially, none of the Pokémon were available in the Switch games, but both have been restored with the DLC packs Isle of Armor Expansion that started eight months after the base games.
