The studio has already has a Diablo Crossover last yearand this time Overwatch2 celebrates World of Warcraft‘S 20th anniversary with four skins based on characters from the long-running fantasy MMO.
Widowmaker, Reinhardt, Zenyatta and Torbjörn each received new skins as part of the anniversary event, which runs from today, September 17th, to September 30th. Widowmaker is based on the antagonist Sylvanas Windrunner, who was an original inspiration for the sniper during Watch‘s early development. While it is depicted with a bow similar to that of the Warcraft character in the new highlight intro released as part of the event, she still carries a rifle during normal gameplay. The bow also disappears if you use the highlight intro with a skin other than Sylvanas’. Reinhardt, meanwhile, wears blue armor as a tribute to the Lich King, the undead villain of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Zenyatta has one of the more surprising skins, as he takes on the visage of the orc Thrall rather than something more directly consistent with his synthetic monk aesthetic. Kudos to Blizzard for thinking outside the box. And finally, Torbjorn takes on the diamond form of King Magni Bronzebeard.
If you have a Warcraft diehards, the skins are pretty great, but like the ones in previous Overwatch2 Collaboration events are expensive. The bundles are purchased with in-game currency available through the Battle Pass. However, you will most likely have to spend real money to reach the required amount, as the Battle Pass does not give you enough coins to purchase any of the bundles:

- Lich King Reinhardt 2600
- Thrall Zenyatta 2500
- Diamond Magni Torbjörn 2400
