Pocketpair, the developer behind the surprising survival hit Palworldannounced the first expansion at Summer Games Fest 2024. The new update will include a new island, Sakurajima, which includes a Japanese-style shrine, a mushroom-filled swamp, and a spooky graveyard. There will also be new Pals, new Pal subspecies, a new faction and leader, and more.
The update will include a major overhaul of buildings, which is good news for those of us who enjoy building fortresses and palaces for our friends. Several building restrictions have been removed; players will have a higher maximum number of bases; and new structures such as pillars, glass structures, and workstations will be available.
Once players have found their way around and unlocked the new content, they should check out the new Stronghold, a massive oil rig defended by a group of poachers. Players can engage in large-scale battles and fight for rewards like the new resource Crude Oil. The update also includes a PvP Arena mode where players can pit their friends against each other. ‘Buddy World’
PalworldThe Sakurajima update is set to launch on June 27, 2024; the game first came out in January. When the game was first released, it enjoyed a surprising sales success. However, player enthusiasm waned as the weeks went by. It’s nice to see the game getting an update, and I’m sure my friends and I will be exploring these new regions and capturing the elusive friends within.
