Resident Evil Village has a demo, but it was a silly mess, with limited windows to play and early access to Playstation only. But yesterday, the limited-time demo went live on all platforms, including PC. Of course, PC gamers quickly figured out how to bypass the hour-long timer and play for as long as they want.
It should come as no surprise that on a platform as open as the PC folks would quickly figure out how to deal with Capcom’s silly 60 minute timer. It’s cute that Capcom even put the timer on the PC. At least it gave people something to rummage through when they were bored.
This is Capcom’s demo originally people only wanted to play for 24 hours. However, after the Internet shared “What …?” and shouted enough, Capcom gave in and extended the demo for a week.
Resetting the timer in the demo actually works Take a few more steps than “turn off and on” so I guess a lot of people won’t bother to reset the timer.

But if you want to play more of that Village Demo on pc, here’s as discovered by Eurogamer.
If you do all of this it will basically fool the demo into not playing an hour and reset the timer. Repeat this process as necessary to play as much of the demo as you want until Capcom shuts down the demo and its servers on May 9th.
Resident Evil Village Releases on May 7th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Stadia and PC.
