Platinum Games in Osaka's studio has announced that it will monetize its partnership with Tencent Holdings. As the Chinese conflomerate money to the game's creator, Platinum Games president Kenichi Sato it says, "Our company's freedom will not be affected."
Platinum Games was founded in 2007 and is probably best known for its Bayonetta series as well Nier: Automata, which built Square Enix.
Sato adds to official release that the context of the company to handle will stay local and the studio will continue to publish its games as it continues its mission of producing quality games.
Tencent is the largest video game company in the world, and with this latest investment, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Here we hope that the Platinum Games will eventually diminish.
