Sony announced hours of news on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR 2 release schedule in a PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday. The show included new games from PlayStation Studios, as well as third-party and indie game developers.
Much was announced during the event, including a number of PlayStation VR 2 titles Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, Bungie’s new game Marathon, and a variety of indie games. Of course, Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2 headlined the event and gave us a closer look at the anticipated sequel to previous Spidey titles.

fair game$
Haven Studios, led by Jade Raymond, announced its first game: fair game$, was the first game to be featured in PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday. PlayStation acquired the studio in March last year. The teaser trailer didn’t show much gameplay, instead focusing on the game’s steal-from-the-reich vibe.
Helldivers 2
Next was in the showcase Helldivers 2 by Arrowhead, a sequel to the 2015 top-down shooter game. Coming to PlayStation 5 and Windows PC in 2023, it appears to maintain the series’ original humor style.
Immortals of Aveum
From Electronic Arts and Ascendant Studios, Immortals of Aveum Coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series on July 20th
Ghostrunner 2
Ghostrunner 2, published by 505 Games and One More Level, was announced early on in the PlayStation Showcase. It is expected to be released later this year for PlayStation 5 and will bring action-packed first-person platform gaming to the new generation of consoles.
Phantom Blade 0
Phantom Blade 0, by S-GAME, appears to be packed with fast-paced sword-based combat. No release date was given, but blood was shed.
Sword of the Sea
Sword of the Sea is from the developer of deduction And The Waylessand looks like a relaxed journey – in the truest sense of the word Tripbut with skateboarding.
The Talos Principle 2
The Talos Principle 2 expected to be released this year, a sequel to the critically acclaimed The Talos Principlewhich was released in 2014. The series is known for using philosophy and puzzles to create something truly unique.
Neva
Giant Squid, the developer behind it GrisHe’s working on a beautiful game starring a swordsman and an antlered white wolf — and judging by the trailer, he seems like a serious heartthrob. It will be released for PlayStation 5 in 2024.

Square Enix’s colorful shooter foam stars promises a huge foam party where the game is clearly inspired by splatoon.
The brave squire
The brave squirepublished by Devolver Digital, is a super cute storybook game.
tear down
tear down, which, as the name suggests, is all about breaking things. The voxel mayhem already available on PC is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X this year.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Konami announced it Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake, known as Metal Gear Solid Δ, with a watery trailer. It will be released for PlayStation 5.

Final Fantasy 16
Final Fantasy 16The latest story trailer was unveiled in the PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday ahead of the June 22 release date.
Alan Wake 2
Alan Wake 2, by Remedy Entertainment will be released on October 17th for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC. It is the highly anticipated successor to Alan Wakewhich was published in 2010.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be released on October 12, Ubisoft announced during the PlayStation Showcase. The game stars Basim and is set before the events of Assassin’s Creed Valhallaa game in which he plays a significant role.
The workers-run cooperative The Glory Society announced Revenant Hill. The trailer was just a teaser, but the developer shared more information about the game, which has an aesthetic similar to night in the forest,
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Capcom stated Dragon’s Dogma 2 during the PlayStation Showcase. There were many dragons and a little dogma.
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4 will be released for PlayStation VR 2. No release date has been given.
Marathon
One of the more exciting prospects from the PlayStation Showcase is Marathon, destiny 2 The new colorful shooter from the creator Bungie. Does the name sound familiar to you? That’s because Bungie released Marathon originally on Mac in 1994.

something called unity is due out for PlayStation 5 in 2024, but the trailer didn’t give us much to work with. Looks colourful.
Grand touring
Grand touring is now a movie coming in August. But… it’s about children playing Grand touring. Twist. Expect lots of shiny cars.
Project Q
Sony will release its own Remote Play-based handheld device, currently known within the company as Project Q. It’s basically a DualSense controller with an 8-inch screen in the middle. The device is expected to hit the market later this year.
