Review reader is a very fun website where you can launch any Steam game you want and have some of its user reviews read to you through the soothing sounds of a text-to-speech program.
The site-Thanks PC player– is nice to use for two reasons. First, its minimal presentation makes it very easy on the eyes. Second, it keeps things interesting by messing up the program with every click and getting a different voice every time you hear someone say “200 hours played, asked for a refund”.
Since I just enjoy reading some kind of Steam user review, the first game I hit was Battlefield 2042, and was presented with things like:
Unfinished heap of trash, they think we’re idiots. This game is an insult to the franchise.
I bought the $ 110 version of the game which I played for 2 days, on the 3rd day after I finished reading a newspaper I was greeted by a message saying you are banned. I go to the EA website to find out that I was apparently cheating. I later found out it was a false positive ban and Razer Synapse was the cause. I wanted to apply for a ban, but that will never happen. So I basically stole $ 110 thank you EA you
Which seem “normal “(or at least expected) while you read them, to the right? Only now do they sound like they’re brought to you by clunky bartender droids in the war of stars Universe, with the highlight being the inclusion of the overall rating at the end of each one. “B.lah blah blah robot voice talking about how disappointed you are …thumbs down“.
In addition to Steam reviews, the site also reads App Store reviews if that’s your thing. You can check it out here.
