Vanillite, the ice-shaped Pokémon, is finally being added Pokémon Go.
Ice-like Pokémon and Pokémon appear in holiday costumes as part of a holiday event that takes place from December 22nd at 8:00 a.m. to December 31st at 10:00 p.m. local time. Aside from the beautiful and adorable Vanillite that is being added to the game (as well as its evolutions Vanillish and Vanilluxe), the special bonuses that are activated at certain times will be the highlight of the event, which you can see below:
- December 22nd at 12pm to December 23rd at 11:59 pm – Doubled raid XP
- December 24th at 12pm to December 25th at 11:59 pm – Double Catchers
- December 26th at 12 noon to December 27th at 11:59 pm – Duration of the double star piece
- December 28th at 12 noon to December 29th at 11:59 pm – double the lucky egg duration
- December 30th at 12 noon to December 31st at 11:59 pm – Double catch of Stardust
Other vacation-themed perks, such as special stickers, avatar garments, and the like, are also available during the event period. There will also be some field research assignments that reward Vanillite and Cryogonal.
Pokémon Go is currently in the middle of the current season known as the Season of Celebration. Developer Niantic announced the new seasonal structure of the mobile game in November.
