Pokémon Go is hosting a Litten Community Day event March 16th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. your local time.
As expected at a Community Day event, Lit will appear in large numbers and will most likely look shiny. There are also some other bonuses and perks that we list below.
How do I catch a shiny Litten in Pokémon Go?
According to old research from the now-defunct website The Silph Road (via Wayback machine), Shiny rates on Community Days are around 1 in 24, meaning that if you keep playing during the three-hour window, you should find quite a few Shiny Pokémon.
If you’re short on time or Poké Balls, you can pop one incensethen quickly Tap Eye Litten to look for shiny ones and run away from anything that isn’t shiny. In particular, any Litten you’ve already tapped will be aligned with your player’s position, making it easier to see which ones you’ve already ticked.
What Community Day step is Litten’s development learning?
If you evolve Torracat into Incineroar between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. your local time, it will learn the charged attack Blast Burn.
If you don’t evolve it during this period, you can probably evolve it during a Community Day weekend event in December to get Blast Burn. If you don’t want to wait, you can do the move with an Elite TM.
How does Incineroar fare in the Pokémon Go meta?
Incineroar won’t be used much in PvP – it’s too much of a glass cannon for that.
However, just like the other starter Pokémon, it is quite capable of attacking as both Fire and Dark attackers. give it Fire Tooth And Explosion fire for a fire moveset and Growl And Darkest Lariat for a dark moveset. (Darkest Lariat is a new attack just added for Incineroar, but it is not a legacy move, so you can still get it with a Charge TM after the Community Day event ends.)
While there are Shadow Pokémon and Legendary Pokémon that are stronger than Incineroar, if you are not a die-hard player, Incineroar will help you contribute significant damage to your raids and should not be ignored!
How do I make the most of Litten Community Day?
The following bonuses will be active during Litten Community Day:
- Tripled XP for catching Pokémon
- Double candies for catching Pokémon
- Double chance for trainers level 31 and above to receive XL Candies by catching Pokémon
- The incense lasts three hours
- Lure Modules last three hours
- Light special photo bombs when taking snapshots
- An additional special trade
- Stardust trading costs have been halved
That said, you should definitely pop a Lucky Egg and Incense and try to grab some powerful Litten.
If you can Mega development Charizard, Houndoom, Blaziken or GroudonYou will receive additional Litten Candy per catch.
Additionally, Niantic is still running special four-star raids from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Litten spawning within a 300-meter radius of the gym for 30 minutes if you complete the Torracat raid. These raids cannot be carried out remotely. If the usual 2-5pm spawn increase doesn’t produce the desired results, you can try again with a raid.
