As usual at Community Days, the featured Pokémon will often appear in the wild, with a high probability that they will be shiny.

With machop popping up all over the place, just tap on every machop you see until you get a shiny one. You’ll find one sooner or later as the Shiny rate increases to around one in 24 on Community Days.

What special trait does Machamp learn as he evolves?
When Machamp is developed on January 16, 11 am to 7 pm, he will learn Payback. This dark-type movement does not affect Machamp’s raid skill, but has some uses in PvP.
How can I get the most out of this Community Day?
Machops Community Day has a bonus that triples Stardust when it catches Pokémon. So it’s worth popping a star piece when you catch the Pokémon to increase your winnings even further.
The trading range will be increased to 40 kilometers from January 15th to 18th. Trade with friends this distance to clear the 100 candy requirement for Machoke to Machamp evolution. Any machoke you trade with can evolve without the use of candy. This is a huge perk for anyone trying to build a beefy Machamp team.
Machamp is best employed counter and Dynamic punch for gyms and raids. Payback can be fine for PvP as it makes a good matchup against Ghost-type Pokémon.
When deciding which Shiny Machop to evolve at the end of the day, use one of the new search strings. Sort your mons byrecently“Use the icon at the bottom right and enter”4 *”In the search box above. This will tell you if you have a 100% IV macho. Most people won’t be that lucky, so next you want to “3 *”In the search box that shows all current mons that are 80% or more. Rate these to find out which one is best, then develop your new buddy further!
