Pokemon Go Noibat Community Day Guide

Pokemon Go is hosting a Noibat Community Day event February 5 from 2-5 p.m. local time.

As expected at a Community Day event, NOI Bật appears in large numbers with a high chance of appearing shiny. There are also several other bonuses and perks which we list below.

How do I catch a Shiny Noibat?

If you’re short on time or Pokéballs, you can pop one incensethen quickly Tap each noibat to look for shiny ones and run away from all that aren’t shiny. In particular, any noibat you’ve already typed will point to where your player stands, so this should help identify which ones you may have already checked.

What Community Day move is Noibat’s development learning?

If you evolve Noibat into Noivern between 2pm and 10pm local time, it will learn the charged attack Boomburst.

If you miss evolving it during this period, you can likely evolve it to get Boomburst during a Community Day weekend event in December. If you don’t want to wait, you can use an Elite TM to catch the train.

How is Noivern doing in the meta?

Noivern isn’t useful in either PvE or PvP content, which is sad since it used to be so rare to find.

If you need a good Dragon or Flying-type attacker for PvE content, stick to the basics: Salamence, Rayquaza, and Garchomp for Dragon-types, and Moltres, Ho-Oh, and Honchkrow for Flying-types. (Of course, there are other good Pokemon besides these six, but these come to mind when I’m raiding.)

How do I make the most of Noibat Community Day?

The following bonuses are active during Noibat Community Day:

Triple Stardust for catching Pokémon
Double candy for catching Pokémon
Double the chance for level 31+ Trainers to get XL Candy when catching Pokémon
Incense lasts three hours
Lure Modules lasts three hours
Noibat special photo bombs when taking photos
An additional special trade
Stardust cost to trade halved

That means you should definitely pop a Star Piece and an Incense and try to snag some powerful Noibat.

If you can Mega Evolution Charizard (both forms), Pidgeot, Aerodactyl, Ampharos, Sceptile, Altaria, Salamence, Latias, or Latiosget extra Noibat candy per catch.

In addition, Niantic still runs special four-star raids from 5pm to 10pm, where Noibat spawns in a 300 meter radius around the gym for 30 minutes when you complete the Noibat raid. These raids cannot be conducted remotely. If the usual 2-5pm spawn increase doesn’t get you the noibat you want, you can try a raid for another chance.
