Pokémon Go PvP guide: best Ultra League Pokémon, movesets, and costs

costs, guide, League, movesets, Pokémon, PvP, Ultra

Pokémon GoThe PvP system now allows players to use the highest PC Pokémon in the Ultra League.

With the help of GamePress and PvPoke, we have compiled a list of strong Pokémon to use in the Ultra League, what to do, how much it costs to unlock their second moves, and their strengths and weaknesses.

There may not be many combinations of our Great League selections, so if you've enabled your Pokémon by mistake of the Great League, you now have a new Ultra League companion. Ultra League Pokémon can have up to 2,500 CP only.

In PvP, you should also use Sweets and Stardust to unlock the second movement of your Pokémon to gain extra cover.

We recommend any of the following:

Changed Form Giratina

  • Traveling fast: Shaw Claw
  • Charging is moving: Dragon Claw and Creative Power
  • Secondary shipping costs: 100,000 Stardust and 100 Giratina sweets
  • Best for: Ghost-, psychic-, dragon-, flying-, bug-, fire-, and ice forms
  • The worst enemy: Ghost-, ice-, dragon-, black-, and species

Modified Form Giratina has a tank and its powerful flow with various typing makes it perfect.

Origin of Form Giratina

  • Traveling fast: Shaw Claw
  • Charging is moving: Shadow Ball and Ominous Wind
  • Secondary shipping costs: 100,000 Stardust and 100 Giratina sweets
  • Best for: Ghost- and psychic-type
  • The worst enemy: Ghost-, ice-, dragon-, black-, and species

Origin Form Giratina is not as good as her cousin, but it hits hard while still able to take much damage.

Register

  • Traveling fast: Lock-On (Inheritance)
  • Charging is moving: Flash Cannon and Focus Blast
  • Secondary shipping costs: 100,000 Stardust and 100 Registeel candy
  • Best for: Rock-, ice-, fairy-, ordinary-, metal-, and black varieties
  • The worst enemy: Combat-, ground-, and fire types

If you didn't work the Registeel you received in the attack, now you do. It doesn't do much damage, but it can take a ton of damage and the metal typing gives it a good amount of resistance.

Swampert

  • Traveling fast: The Mud Shot
  • Charging is moving: Hydro Cannon (legacy) and earthquake
  • Secondary shipping costs: 10,000 Stardust and 25 Mudkip sweets
  • Best for: Poison-, rock-, metal-, fire-, electric-, and terrestrial species
  • The worst enemy: Types of Grass

Swampert also has many types of movement and is only weak with grass species. Be careful, though. The app type move will work four times more effectively against it.

Togekiss

  • Traveling fast: Charm
  • Charging is moving: Ancient Power and Flamethrower
  • Secondary shipping costs: 50,000 Stardust and 50 Togepi sweets
  • Best for: Combat-, dragon-, dark-, flying-, insect, fire-, ice-, metal-, and grass species
  • The worst enemy: Poison-, rock-, metal-, electric-, and ice forms

Togekiss is an animal that plays in the Ultra League and you may have seen it so close. It combines its own weaknesses with a variety of move types that can learn and can certainly take a few hits.

Snorlax

  • Traveling fast: Compose
  • Charging is moving: Body Slam and Earthquake
  • Secondary shipping costs: 75,000 Stardust and 75 Snorlax candy
  • Best for: Ghost-, psychic-, dark-, poison-, rock-, metal-, fire-, and electric
  • The worst enemy: Types of combat

As in gymnastics, Snorlax is annoying to deal with because it has one weakness and a super-high defense.

Pure

  • Traveling fast: Charm
  • Charging is moving: Meteor Mash and Psychic
  • Secondary shipping costs: 10,000 Stardust and 25 Clefairy candy
  • Best for: Combat-, dragon-, black-, rock-, ice-, fairy-, and poisonous species
  • The worst enemy: Poison- and metal types

Like Togekiss, Clefable has been able to cover up his weaknesses by learning about strong counter-moves.

Armored Mewtwo

  • Traveling fastConfusion
  • Charging is moving: Rock Slide and Dynamic Punch
  • Secondary shipping costs: 100,000 Stardust and 100 Mewtwo sweets
  • Best for: Combat-, poison-, flying-, bug-, fire-, ice-, general-, rock-, metal-, and black-
  • The worst enemy: Bug-, ghost-, and black-type species

If you somehow have a Mewtwo (or Rare Candy) candy to spare, Armored Mewtwo is a powerful contender for PvP. Its set has many variants and, as expected from its name, can take a hit or two.

The Venusaur

  • Traveling fast: Vine Whip
  • Charging is moving: Frenzy Plant (Legacy) and Sludge Bomb
  • Secondary shipping costs: 10,000 Stardust and 25 Bulbasaur sweets
  • Best for: Ground-, rock-, water-, grass-, and Fairy-type species
  • The worst enemy: Airplanes-, fire-, intelligence, and ice types

If you see many types of films in PvP, give your Venusaur Sludge Bomb and run for their money. It pays for the opening of a second cheaper location, and even if you don't have a Frenzy Plant, it will get the job done.

Poliwrath

  • Traveling fast: The Mud Shot
  • Charging is moving: Ice Punch and Dunchic Punch
  • Secondary shipping costs: 50,000 Stardust and 50 Poliwag sweets
  • Best for: Poison-, rock-, metal-, fire-, electric-, flying-, ground-, grass-, dragon-, general-, and black-
  • The worst enemy: Airplanes-, grass-, electric-, intelligence- and biodiversity

The bad thing about Poliwrath is how much weakness. The good thing is that it will help you get through Snorlax and Registeel pretty quickly.
