Potions event recipes and market news list for Genshin Impact

“Alchemical Ascension“is the key event of Genshin Impact Version 4.5, which asks you to mix herbs to create potions that follow current trends.

As usual with Genshin Events: Alchemical Ascension is divided into three timed parts. Phase one began on March 14th, phase two began on March 16th and phase three begins on March 18th. We will update this guide as the content rolls out.

You may be worried about messing up your potions early on, but don’t fret too much. As the event progresses, you’ll eventually be able to make unlimited potions and spam cycles, so you can continue making potions and earning income without worry.

How to make potions in Genshin Impact’s Alchemical Ascension event

From the first part of the event, you will have 10 cycles to create potions. You can only make one potion per cycle and end the cycle by talking to Lisa. In different cycles, you will learn from market news what people are into and which potions sell better.

Each potion consists of different ones Ingredients. As you level up you unlock more and can grow them in pots in the potion making area. Each ingredient has a specific reference effectiveness: Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Charisma, Wisdom or balanced. They all have something different too characteristic: Endurance, warm, calming, fragrant, healing, strengthening, relaxing, perception, focus or technique.

The aim is to place the ingredients on the grid like a puzzle in such a way that a potion with certain values ​​and properties is created, while leaving as few gaps as possible.

As you place the pieces, you can see what your potion will look like on the left side of the screen. Hovering over the ingredient on the right will also show what it adds to the potion. You just need to keep adding the appropriate plants until you get the desired result.

After selling the potions, you can buy upgrades (like a better cauldron or more plant pots) from a woman nearby. Your plants will also upgrade as you use them, unlocking more shapes to use during the puzzle portion of the event.

After Cycle 10, you can purchase major upgrades for your shop, such as the ability to sell more potions at once. After you’ve unlocked enough slots, you’ll ideally only want to stock your shop with high-level potions that cover all of the different potencies and properties. This way, you don’t even have to pay attention to the market news to get rich.

Market News Requirements, Explained

Every few cycles a new newspaper will be delivered to you that reports on the latest trends. As expected, we need to analyze these trends to make potions that fit each current trend. However, the game doesn’t directly tell you what potency or properties are needed per trend – you just have to guess. But that’s actually not the case, because we list all the messages and their associated requirements below, along with the cycle in which they appear.

Note that in cycles eight through ten you get two of the four random trends listed. From cycles 11 to 22, every few cycles you will receive a random group of two from the list. In our experience, there also appear to be some elements of RNG that are related to the traits associated per trend few other Leader. Each trend can have up to three characteristics. So if our table has more than three, you have to guess and check. But fear not, because the market news screen will confirm which efficacies and properties you have correctly understood. From cycle eight onwards you will receive some special orders from visiting NPCs. Some may only have clear requirements, while Sucrose may have more specific requirements for passing a potion brewing exam. Everyone’s needs are the same across the board, so you don’t have to worry about an RNG element getting in your way. However, Sucrose’s potions can have different puzzle boards, with the blocking spaces in different locations.

Beidou’s potion request

Sucrose’s first alchemy test

Sucrose’s second alchemy test
