The Rise and Rise of 2022 PowerWash simulator is everything that is right about video games. It’s a game of washing the dirt off things, delivered with utter sincerity extremely well done. It got me through a terrible bout of covid, as I meticulously scrubbed every speck of dirt from adventure playgrounds and cottages, and rightfully became a smash hit. That makes it all the better considering the post-release additions leaned forward. And today, developers FuturLab announced plans for much more in 2023.
The first update of January was the addition of five brand new levels in the world of completely free of charge Tomb Raider. You can Clean the front of Croft Manor! You can Scrub the obstacle course! And it was delivered with an expression just as serious as the main game. Then in March came a free package final fantasy-Themes! Last week the first paid DLC was released, which of course was based on it SpongeBob SquarePants.
Today FuturLab unveiled their roadmap for the rest of the year, and while it’s quite frustratingly vague, it gives me the all-important opportunity to post the teaser for his Warhammer 40K Crossover! This is the furthest addition to the roadmap, However. It seems we have a lot to look forward to before then.
What we learned from their tweet is that there will be another paid DLC coming in Q3 (whatever that means in this case), along with more of what the game calls “The Muckingham Files” – the title , which was a whole bunch of DLC free new content added in April 1.2 update.
Then, towards the end of the year, FuturLab promises an improvement more free “seasonal content” which of course means holiday cleaning!
In case you haven’t played yet PowerWash simulatorand you think this is either a tedious process or that my city is completely freaked out, rest assured it’s neither one nor the other! It’s a really great game available on Game Pass. Create a Zen-like, methodically happy place where you can find the satisfaction of getting dirty things sparkling clean without even having to pick up a vacuum.
