A Lego replica of the iconic church where Aerith tends her flowers Final Fantasy VII was recently sold at auction for a shockingly high amount. The Square Enix gift fetched $12,500 over the weekend as fans bid for the rare collectible.
Back in 2023, Final Fantasy 7 New edition Players voted on which scene from the game should be made into a Lego set. The church where Cloud first meets Aerith and helps save her from the Turks ultimately won, with only two of them being made and eventually sent to the lucky winners. a social media giveaway intended as a link to this year’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Start.
One of these was recently offered for sale on the Heritage Auctions website. The Sector 5 Slum set was 41.5 inches tall, 29 inches wide and 20 inches deep, with the figures themselves depicted in block size. A TikTok video showed it in all its glory. It is surprising large:
The $12,500 it finally sold for is a lot compared to what it sold for a few weeks ago: hundreds. It’s a stroke of luck for any collector it ended up with, but it would be nice if Square Enix could manage to come up with a full-fledged Final Fantasy Lego mashup. Mario, sound, Minecraftand many other game franchises have already received the brick shine, including Horizon Zero Dawn. Now it’s high time for Final Fantasy fans to bring their 25,000-piece, $1,000 replica of Midgar from the blown-up Sector 6 reactor to the ShinRa Tower.
Actually, it would be cool to have a whole Final Fantasy Lego game, complete with multiverse hoppers, the heroes revisit the best and greatest moments from the entire franchise. The opera scene in Final Fantasy VIIthe airship in Final Fantasy 7Cid – simply Cid – from Final Fantasy XVIthe possible scenarios and spin-off sets are endless.
