With a strong set of Regidrago counters will help you defeat this legendary dragon Pokémon Pokémon Go.
Regidrago appeared in the main games Pokémon Sword and ShieldThe Crown Tundra expansion joins Regirock, Registeel, and Regice as the newest members of the legendary Titans, alongside Direkteki.
Regidrago first debuted in Elite Raids in March 2023 and will appear for the last time as part of the Max Out Finale event, which runs from November 27th to December 1st, 2024. During this time, you can fight Regidrago in standard five-star raids, where it will also make its brilliant debut.
Regidrago has three weaknesses: Dragon, Fairy and Ice type attacks.
Although Dragon-type Pokémon are some of the strongest raid attackers in the game, you need to be wary of their weaknesses. Regidrago has its own Dragon-type attacks, which are extremely effective against many Dragon-type Pokémon.

Here are the best counters you can use against Regidrago Pokémon Go:
- Mega wardrobe with charm and radiant shine
- Dialga with Dragon Breath and Draco Meteor
- Palkia with Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor
- In love with Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam
- Garchomp with Dragon Tail and Outrage
- Galarian Darmanitan with Ice Fang and Avalanche
- Mamoswine with powder snow and avalanches
- Togekiss with charm and radiant shine
Dialga in particular is an excellent choice for Regidrago raids, as it is one of the few Dragon-type Pokémon that is not weak to incoming Dragon attacks. If you have an Origine Forme Dialga, that's even better.
Don't worry if you don't have any of our recommendations. Form a team with your strongest Dragon, Fairy, and Ice Pokémon and make sure they know moves that target Regidrago's weaknesses.
Having the top counterattackers is all well and good, but you almost always have to team up with other trainers to defeat five-star raid bosses. We recommend putting together a group of at least five high-level players to fight with, the more the better.
Finally, take weather conditions into account when fighting Regidrago, as they could influence your choice of counterattacks:
- When the weather is windy, Dragon-type attacks become stronger.
- Cloudy weather boosts Fairy-type attacks.
- Finally, Snow boosts Ice-type attacks.
As things stand, Regidrago is a pretty bad Pokemon in both PvE and PvP gameplay, making it pretty difficult to suggest a “best moveset”. It lacks a Dragon-type fast attack and its Attack stat is quite low compared to the top-ranked Dragon-type Pokémon in the game. At the moment it's little more than a Pokédex filler.
If you still want to use Regidrago as an attacker in raids or gyms, teach it Bite and breaking blowThe latter receives at least a similar attack bonus (STAB). For Trainer Battles, choose Bite with Breaking Swipe and Outrage.
The good news is this The Shiny Regidrago can be encountered In Pokémon Go. It made its debut as part of the Max Out Finale event in November 2024.
