The company’s CEO behind some of the best retro consoles out there announced on their website when an entire consignment of devices set to be released worldwide was stolen in a robbery in the UK.
Andrew Byatt, whose Blaze Entertainment does it Excellent Evercade vsHe wrote the statement not only to keep fans updated, but to specifically appeal to those customers who have pre-ordered one of the devices (in this case the Evercade EXP Limited Edition handheld) that have reportedly been stolen, so are unlikely to receive the consoles they paid for until replacements can be made.
Byatt says that “in the early hours” of December 6, a truck “carrying inventory of the Evercade EXP Limited Edition was subjected to an alleged targeted robbery” and that although “no one was injured in this criminal act,” the stolen units were intended. for shipping to all customers in the UK, US and Rest of the World”.
European customers are unaffected, as are those who purchase the regular edition Evercade EXP as only the limited edition units were stolen. Byatt adds that they are currently working with UK police and “hope to recover stock” but in case that doesn’t succeed they have already started manufacturing replacement units.
To compensate those who are now waiting for their orders, Byatt also says they are creating a “hero” list “that will be added to our EXP console credits to thank the people who are at the time are left to us”. . Since the consoles were only available for sale on their official website and are now sold out, Byatt reminds people that any units for sale elsewhere are “probably stolen goods”.

The full explanation is below:
Dear Evercade customers and fans,
I am writing to inform you of very sad news. In the early hours of yesterday morning, a truck carrying inventory of the Evercade EXP Limited Edition was allegedly targeted and robbed. No one was injured in this criminal act, but a theft of our Limited Edition stock was carried out.
This stock was moved back and forth between warehouses to be sent to all customers in the UK, US and the rest of the world – all stock was stolen in this horrific, possibly orchestrated attack. EU warehouses were not affected and have successfully arrived at Funstock’s European warehouse.
Since learning of the crime, we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes, contacting the police, assessing the situation and determining an action plan that we can share with our customers and fans as accurately and as quickly as possible.
This is especially devastating to our most dedicated fans who have supported us by pre-ordering our special limited edition version of the Evercade EXP. We are feeling this impact deeply and are determined not to let this situation overshadow the excitement surrounding our new product launch. This is an unprecedented situation in the history of Blaze and Funstock and we extend our deepest sympathy to all of our fans and customers who are victims of this theft.
At Blaze, we are extremely frustrated and angry that this has happened and with these products so close to release, the timing couldn’t be worse. We have passed all information, including evidence of the theft, to UK Police and are awaiting news of their investigation. While we hope to restore stock, we anticipate this will be challenging and time consuming. We’re working hard to get this right for Limited Edition customers. Please note that the EXP Limited Edition could only be purchased through Funstock.co.uk and is no longer on sale. All other sources are likely stolen goods.
What happens next?
I immediately began producing replacement parts for this stock at our facility and we will endeavor to get these into your hands as soon as possible. We are aware that this will be disappointing for our customers and as a token of our gratitude for their patience while we remanufacture the goods we will be making a list of “Heroes” that will be added to our EXP Console Credits, to thank these people for being stuck with us at this time. We will also add a screen protector set to the reproduced goods and Funstock will include a coupon of 20% discount on a future order.
We truly believe that Blaze and Funstock customers are victims here and apologize for the impact this event will have. We hope all of our customers will join us in condemning the actions of these criminals and making sure this event doesn’t stop us from enjoying the classic Evercade gaming experience.
Your,
Andrew Byatt
