If you like soccer and PvE shooter experiences, the latest call of Duty Season 01 Reloaded has a double whammy for you. Modern Warfare II gets the very first cod raid while war zone has a limited time event for all foosball fans. My personal favorite mode DMZgot some love too!
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and its free-to-play battle royale mode Warzone 2.0 just received a major content update. Offers traditional team-based multiplayer game types, battle royales and PvE modes like DMZ, cod has a lot of different modes these days. As such, updates like today’s Season 01 Reloaded are packed with tons of new stuff for the game’s many modes. The usual improvements, both subtle and obvious – shotgun damage certainly feels weaker – are here too. Let’s get into that.
Call of Duty First Raid
Yes today cod got his first raid. cod is nodetermination or World of Warcraftso it’s easy to imagine dozens of jokers running around in league skins Hop skipping around corners. But no fear: The all-new Raid mode is a three-person (no matchmaking) mission available within it Modern Warfare II.
That means you have to buy the $70 full version of the game in order to play it. But that’s not all. cod also requires you to do one of the following to unlock the raid:
- Complete a specific Daily Challenge in either Multiplayer or Special Ops
- Ranked in the top 20 in each war zone 2.0 Battle Royale playlist
- Exfiltrate the DMZ with $30,000 in cash
Doing any of these will give you a raid quest that lasts a week. You need a raid task to play the raid.
These tasks aren’t too difficult, so most people should be able to get into the raid quickly. But then what do you do? Well, the Season 01 Reloaded update describes the raid as an “exciting mix of combat and puzzles for teams of three to explore.” But it’s also related MIIThe campaign narrative. Since this is the first raid to be called “Episode 1,” we can probably look forward to more.
The story begins at the end Modern Warfare II‘s campaign. And if you ask me, that’s not a bad thing. That first half Modern Warfare II I was so bored i wanted to play haze as a palate cleanser, but honestly the second half was really fun. We may even be treated more sexy whispers from our boy Ghost.
While the raid homework and matchmaking requirements are a drag, I think the overall concept of the raid concept has potential and is certainly fun in games like this determination. cod Damn sure it has the crisp mechanics to make it satisfying, so let’s see how it goes.
Warzone 2.0 World Championship
While I’ve certainly never thought, “I wish there were more sports in my video games,” I know some people are into this big soccer thing that’s going on right now. cod is here to satisfy your sportsball love with a limited time mode featuring a big football, full sized pitch, ATVs and shock batons. The first team to score five goals wins.
If I’m being honest, maybe you should spend your time better on this rocket league or something like that strange gloriole custom game. Vibes are appreciated, but this mode feels a little too shaky in my initial playtests.
That war zone The world championship goes from December 14th to 23rd.
DMZ changes and updates
If you are in DMZ, Santa Claus came early. There is a new area, “Building 21”, and brand new keys scattered throughout Al Mazrah. They grant access to a mysterious new location “outside of Al Mazrah and into a hyper-dangerous new area of the DMZ”. Although I’m more than used to it hyper dangerous BS in the DMZother additions should hopefully help make the game’s greatest mode a little more survivable.
While there’s no mention of fixing the telepathic AI’s ability to shoot you through bloody walls, DMZ will now see more revives, gas masks, field upgrades, plate carriers, backpacks, and far fewer things you don’t need, namely electronic components and toothpaste. RIP your dental hygiene.
A new option allows eliminated players to join an enemy squad by asking for help. I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds more like it to me offer help. Regardless, it’s really frustrating at times when another team of operators knocks you out when you weren’t even interested in pranking them. At least now you have the opportunity to get back on board faster.
Successful exfiltration will now also reward a random perk; Perks such as Scavenger. You get more for each subsequent successful exfil, making a successful exit even more valuable.

my city reached out to Activision to ask for clarification on the changes to backpacks, which appear to grant a third weapon slot when you have a medium or large backpack equipped. That’s how backpacks already seem to work, but maybe I’m missing a subtle detail.
Season 01 New map and weapon balance changes
Sit down, because you’ll either be really happy or really angry: shotguns will no longer fire at a fully armored enemy. That means jokers like me running around with silenced shotguns to deliver quiet one-hit blasts like we’re unlucky Anton Chigurh or something. But that’s okay, because fools who strap a protective shield to their backs now take reduced movement speed and melee damage. Serves them right.
you will want it Check the patch notes for details if you are using MX9, M13B, Kastov-74u, VEL 47, Basilisk, .50 GS, Expedite 12 or JOKR.

Modern Warfare IIThe core multiplayer modes of get a familiar spot as well. Shipping, a classic cod map, will feature some changes, according to a tweet from the official cod Account a few days ago:
And while I’m sure many have fond memories of Shipment, I’m here to warn you about this matter. Guys, I played two rounds on this map and it was my most nonsensical, frustrating shooter experience in a while. MII already has a hell of a TTK, so a map with narrow corridors set at night and clouded with tons of smoke from explosions and smoke grenades means this is nothing more than a literally three-second pre-fire fest until… Your-dead bullshit. But your mileage may vary.
Season 01 Reloaded Quality of Life is changing
Don’t you hate it when you activate an XP bonus token and have no way of seeing how much time is left? That changes today. The time remaining on a bonus token is now displayed in the lobby, and you can even activate it in the pause menu during gameplay. I know I forget to turn these on all the time, so that’s a big plus.
But maybe that’s one of my personal favorite changes here Joining a game that is already in progress does not count as a loss if you lose. I join mid-game. You have to keep the servers running I suppose. But nothing is worse than getting caught in a match that is clearly doomed and has gone too far to save it. If win/loss statistics are important to you, worry no more.
A number of other small changes include UI tweaks, the addition of a ping wheel toggle option, and UI elements that clarify weapon tuning abilities and status indicators. call of Duty‘s The weapon loadout and upgrade system can be a bit confusingso it’s nice to see some attention there.
All in all there is a lot of cool stuff to see. The DMZ features are by far the most interesting to me, but I’d be lying if I said Raid wasn’t an enticing siren’s song, especially when there are more of them. As soon as I manage to get two other players together, I’ll be sure to report back on how this strange newcomer fares.
