In February, Disney confirmed the second season of its Star Wars TV series, Counterfeit, would arrive in October. With so much of the film and TV release that hampered the COVID-19 outbreak, it's unclear if the sophomore season will release Disney Plus on time, but that is unknown to stop Lucasfilm from planning ahead. According to the new report from Various, Counterfeit season three is already in effect.
Commerce-based sources said Mandalorian Composer Jon Favreau had been "writing season three for a while," and that the art department, led by journalist Doug Chiang, is working hard to develop new sequences and visual ideas for the third set of episodes. Lucasfilm could not confirm the news or a Counterfeit the third release date for Polygon at the time of publication.
Counterfeit Season two was reportedly scheduled to take place in early March, before most of the nationwide shutdown comes into effect.
