Xbox has started Publish games on its popular Game Pass subscription service without announcing it, and it feels like an advent calendar. Serious Sam 4 was previously only available on PC and Stadia, but was surprisingly released today on Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 and surprisingly included in Game Pass.
Originally discovered by VG247, Serious Sam 4 is a first person shooter in which you defend the earth against an army of alien invaders. In addition to a single player campaign, the alien shooter also includes a co-op mode for up to four players.
The game wasn’t a hit when it first released on PC, but the developers had a year to tweak it for the latest generation of consoles. Plus, there’s no better time to try a game than when it’s free. Interestingly, however, it isn’t available to gamers who own an Xbox One (or a PS4). If your really interested, give it a try Serious Sam 4, You can still purchase the game on PC.
Just last week Xbox added it City designer and Generation zero unannounced to the subscription service. I find it a little strange for a large platform owner to try zero marketing for free games, but the surprising additions definitely add a nice feeling of happiness to the players who are subordinate to Game Pass.
However, we are still in the middle of one Console shortage which according to Microsoft will last until 2022. There Serious Sam 4 is not available on Xbox One, the game is currently Review bombed from players who weren’t lucky enough to land the Xbox Series X / S. Calm down, all of you. I’m sure Microsoft doesn’t have any personal prejudices about gamers who couldn’t beat the scalpers. We have a week in December and you already have it Stardew Valley
