Shadow of the Earth Tree Curseblade’s Cirque Guide

Simon Tarnished stands in front of the Earthtree, carrying his Curseblades in the same hands he once carried his infant son in. He dropped the baby off somewhere at Target and wouldn't even remember where. The baby, however, is fine, was raised by a Target employee who had wanted a child, and later placed third in his high school's speed dance championships.

The Curseblade’s Cirque is a backhand blade that is only available in Fire ring‘S Shadow of the Earth Tree Expansion. It’s one of the most visually striking weapons in the DLC, and its unique Ash of War can be as exciting to use as it is effective against your enemies. If you’re all about skill, this is a worthwhile weapon to add to your loadout.

Here’s what you need to know about Curseblade’s Cirque and where to find it.

Statistics and features of Curseblade’s Cirque

The Curseblade’s Cirque has a weight of 4.5 and requires the following stats to wear:

The weapon comes equipped with Ash of War: Deadly Dance. With this Ash of War, you spin the blades forward to deal significant damage to any enemies in your path. An additional input at the end of the spin will result in you performing an axe kick to show everyone who’s boss.

Curseblade’s Cirque can be upgraded to +10 with Somber Smithing Stones.

Curseblade’s Cirque Item Description

The item description of Curseblade’s Cirque is:

Weapon of the masked cursed blades. Circular backhand blade with wavy cutting edges, sharpened to points that induce blood loss. Long ago, it was used by ascetics who aspired to become patron gods as a ritual object in their self-flagellation dances.

Where can I find Curseblade’s Cirque?

You can find the Curseblade’s Cirque by defeating Curseblade enemies found throughout the expansion, but to make farming extremely easy for you, there is actually a Curseblade perched on an arch right next to the first Site of Grace in Gravesite Plain, where you first dive into the DLC.

It's right here, at the very beginning of the DLC. You don't even need a map.

While this enemy can be difficult (but certainly not impossible) to farm early in the DLC, once you’ve progressed a bit further and upgraded your Shadow Blessing with Scadutree Fragments, you should have no problem defeating him.

Whether you decide to farm the Curseblade right away or come back later, don’t forget to equip the Silver Scarab Talisman or use a Silver Inlaid Fowl’s Foot to improve your item discovery.
