Having a bad day, but trying to hide it from everyone? Well, you can't hide it from Slurpuff. If you feel sad, depressed, anxious or just worse, Slurpuff can say. It will. How so? Because it has a very strong sense of smell. It is so powerful that it can, in some way, detect a difference in your attitude. I didn't know that happy people had a different scent than sad people but it turns out that Slurpuff knew all along.
According to Bulbapedia, Slurpuff has a sense of smell that is 100 million times more powerful than the human nose. To put this into perspective, the dog's sense of smell is about 100 times stronger than the human sense of smell. The bears are thought to have a more powerful aroma, in their sense the odor is 1200 times stronger than a human. At the time, Slurpuff ended here with a strong sense of smell so frightening.
Seriously, think about that. A strong and powerful sense of smell can be helpful, but it can also be distracting. Imagine going to a park and the smell of other dogs changing in another park in another country. Think of every dog dog you can smell, everywhere. - Obviously, there are some people in the Pokemon universe who are trying to use Slurpuff to help find medical conditions for patients. That sounds very helpful! Finally, Pokemon is a useful change.
