Dominique “SonicFox” McLean, the non-binary defender of trans rights and maybe the best fighting game player of a generation, got her own plush toy yesterday.
The SonicFox team, Evil Geniuses, updated their shop yesterday to advertise a 100% real plush toy that resembles the favorite fur of fighting games. “This furry gremlin was signed off by SonicFox to officially screw up shit,” read Baby Sonic’s description on the website. The limited-edition, individually numbered fox friend was $ 35 and sold out within two hours.
SonicFox was obviously delighted with their plush toy and produced some top notch memes.

In a behind-the-scenes video documenting the stuffed animal’s production, Evil Genius showed off early concepts, including a chibified version that is somehow even cuter than the one they eventually settled on.
The stuffed animal that ended up in production was described in the video as “the essence of SonicFox”.
Starting with her first EVO win in Injustice: Gods Among Us In 2014 SonicFox won the EVO championship in Mortal Kombat X, DragonBall fighter Z, and Mortal Kombat 11. Outside of EVO, they are twofold Injustice 2 Pro Series Champion Series and the Final Kombat Champion 2020.
