Tomorrow is May 4th, aka war of stars Day. You know, May 4th kind of sounds like “May the force be,” which is part of the franchise’s famous “May the force be with you” phrase. Yes, it’s a bit silly, but as it’s somewhat of an annual tradition now, a number of digital showcases have old and new war of stars Games for sale to mark the occasion. So I’ll ignore how silly the whole concept is war of stars day is when i can get some cheap games out of it.

To help you spend some money on your very own personal journey war of starsI have compiled a list of 11 games currently on sale that are worth buying. Based on this post on the official war of stars website, these sales are ongoing now, but how long you can use them depends on the platform. Xbox and Switch sales end May 5th, all Steam deals end May 6th, and all PlayStation discounts end May 11th.

Star Wars: Battlefront II (2005) – Xbox, Steam

It may not be the flashy and chic new battlefrontbut the classic Star Wars Battlefront II is a third-person shooter that’s still worth getting cheap thanks to its fantastic amount of modes and options. Want to play a bot-filled Jedi vs Sith battle? You can do that. Do you want to fight rebels on Hoth as a wampa? You can too. The game even has a fun Expanded Universe-inspired single-player campaign starring the 501st Clone Troopers.

Star Wars bounty huntersPS4

Boba Fett might be the more famous bounty hunter, but the clone’s father, Jango, is also pretty cool and bounty hunter lets you slip into his boots for an original adventure. Originally released on PS2 and GameCube, bounty hunter iA third-person action-adventure game set before the events of attack of the Clone warriors. It’s been ported to PS4 and cleaned up a bit, but be prepared for 2002-era camera controls and shootouts.

Star Wars: Forces of Darkness PS4, Steam

It’s a little unfair to say that’s fair Doom + Star Warsbut also, that’s a great pitch for a game and it turns out Dark Forces is damn good. Some have even called it that best war of stars game at all. I wouldn’t go that far, but it perfectly captures the look and feel of the original films in an exciting classic FPS that still holds up in 2022.

Star Wars – The Unleashed ForceSwitch, Xbox, Steam

power unleashed is a goofy, over-the-top, sometimes downright crazy third-person action game starring Darth Vader’s apprentice, Starkiller. Even before Disney removed most of the EU from canon, this game always felt too absurd, even for war of stars. But don’t be put off by the absurdity and wild action. No, all this is the reason Unleashed is on this list. If you’ve always wanted to play a big budget action game that felt like this war of stars Fan fiction written by a 13 year old, please.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I/II Xbox, Mobile, Steam, Switch (Only kotor 1)

If you make a list of the best war of stars Games to buy or play or whatever, it has to include both Knights of the Old Republic and its continuation. This is just the law. So here is my legal obligation KotOR Entry. Thankfully, these fantastic RPGs are set in the distant past war of stars Universes are available on a variety of platforms including mobile and PC. You can even play the original on Switch.

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete SagaXbox, Steam

Sure, the recently released ones Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a wonderful game, filled with worlds and missions based on all 9 main films. But the classic Complete saga (which, ironically, is no longer complete…) is still worth a look for its own low-budget charm and silliness. While I prefer the new game to the old, there’s no denying it Complete Saga—with his older, chunkier Lego bricks – is a very nostalgic game that mostly holds up thanks to the simple but fun gameplay and controls.

Star Wars: Racer’s Revenge -PS4

It’s not the first war of stars Racing game ever, it’s simply the best. Building on the podracing action of the original Under the racer on N64, Racer revenge– first released on PS2 – improves on pretty much everything, adding more tracks and racers while vastly improving the graphics and controls. Even in 2022, it still looks and plays great.

Star Wars: Republic Command – PS4, Switch, PC

A tactical first-person shooter set during the Clone Wars and starring a badass group of elite clones, it sounds like one of those fan projects you read about for years but never get released. But no! Back in 2005 we actually got this game and it turned out great. Even today, fans dream of a sequel that can tie in with the cliffhanger ending of the original Command of the Republic. While that seems unlikely, you can at least pick up this game cheaply on a few different platforms while it’s still on sale.

Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Pack – Steam

you know what for war of stars Game we haven’t gotten for a long time? A real-time strategy game. That sucks. But at least we got it Empire at War in 2006. This Gold Pack combines both the original game and its expansion, forces of corruption, to a great overall package. on Steam, Empire at War even has workshop support and online multiplayer after a 2017 update.

Star Wars: Squadrons Xbox, PS4, Steam

There was a lot great star wars space fighting games and the latest squadrons by EAis a perfect starting point if you haven’t played many (or some) of the previous ones X Wing or TIE fighter games. It may not be as complex as others war of stars Space combat simulations, but it looks amazing and has a solid war of stars Narration that focuses on both sides of the classic war from the original film trilogy. Just know that multiplayer in squadrons these days is a bit dead. Sad but not a deal breaker.

Or if you just want all Star Wars gamesyou can also have a look Star Wars Complete Collection on Steam. This pack bundles more than 20 war of stars Games, including all games on this list (except bounty hunter and Racer revenge) into a huge collection. It usually costs around $300. But you can get it now for only $76. This is a bargain that would make any smuggler or bounty hunter proud.
