A new developer stream for Star Wars The Old Republic showed a surprising feature in game update 7.5. Players can earn their own homestead on the planet Dantooine after completing a series of quests. The cozy feature will be accompanied by a Spring Abundance Festival, which includes surprisingly enjoyable activities like “seed collecting, dancing, cake baking, animal rehabilitation and a galactic egg hunt,” according to a press release.
Star Wars The Old Republic has been live for 13 years and there is a huge archive of content for players to enjoy. Ten months ago the MMORPG changed hands its original developer BioWare to Broadswordthe studio behind it Ultimate Online And Dark Age of Camelot. While The Old Republic has faded from the limelight, it’s still a very entertaining game that’s worth revisiting to scratch that Star Wars itch.
Broadsword takes the game in an interesting direction. Patch 7.4.1 included Date Night escort missions, which is exactly what you would expect from the name. These missions become available when the companion has a romance and is available in a player’s story – certain circumstances may cause your chosen partner to leave the party. Date Night Missions are released in batches and grant a unique title and decoration.
Update 7.5 also includes a new main story chapter in which players argue with a Hutt, as well as new single-player ventures designed to provide a challenging experience. The players train their very own Basilisk prototype B3-S1 (or Bessie) and prepare them for battle. Eventually, Bessie joins your team as a constant companion. The release date for Update 7.5 will be announced soon.
