Stardew Valley“ConcernedApe” developer Barone has released his latest patch note for the game upcoming update 1.6, and it’s probably the funniest thing ever. ConcernedApe will tweet a single detail from the 1.6 update patch notes once a day until it releases on PC 19th March, and these were all the most obscure fixes and tweaks imaginable. The first fix he shared will be added Seedlings to fruit treesThis allows players to more easily relocate their trees if needed or desired. Stardew Valley The players lost because of it. Then ConcernedApe confirmed a Fan theory that harvesting was faster in one direction than another, and promised a solution that would make it just as fast in both directions. Your latest update to the 1.6 content targets a bug Many didn’t even know it existed. Stardew Valley allows players Pursue romances with the citizens of Pelican Town, which may eventually lead to marriage. First you need to interact with a character, give him gifts and maximize your relationship with him, represented by hearts. At ten hearts, players can propose and get married, but after that their spouses will receive more hearts, reducing the value of the previous maximum. This sometimes led to a breakdown where the spouses would comically fall into depression immediately after marriage and spend the first week of marriage sad and in bed.
Now, spouses experience a “honeymoon” phase in the first week, which prevents them from immediately becoming hollow shells of themselves. That’s right, StardewThe developer will repair all your marriages. Say thank you to everyone.
The community understandably lost it. Many responded to ConcernedApe’s tweet with yelling at others about what they were up to depressed their spouses. It’s especially funny because I don’t know anyone who plays Stardew has always been normal in terms of the characters they romance. Far too many of my loved ones and close friends are unnaturally attracted to them StardewBrooding alcoholic Shane is alarmingly infatuated with him. And don’t even get me started on the Abigail and Leah lovers of the world.
My friends’ hyper-fixation on their in-game romances probably ensured that the bug never surfaced. Others got it and could never explain why it happened. StardewThe 1.6 update now guarantees happy marriages for everyone, unless of course you are looking for a divorce. Does anyone else feel like the cold is taking over the room?
In addition to all these optimizations and fixes, StardewThe 1.6 update will introduce a variety of fresh content, like a new festival, making it a packed expansion-sized addition to the game. This also makes the game easier to mod, but that hasn’t stopped ConcernedApe from bringing it up to date before presumably handing it over to the modding community foreseeable future. After that, all eyes are on the possible console and mobile ports of 1.6 and ConcernedApe’s next game.
