With GDC-like gatherings, and interactive indie game gatherings such as Indie Megabooth and Day of the Devs, canceled due to COVID-19 issues, most indie producers are looking for a platform to showcase their games. So Valve is entering the spring of its Steam Game Festival.
Steam Game Festival provides a digital space for indies to watch their games, and there will be over 40 games during the event. The Steam Game Festival Spring Edition begins Wednesday, March 18, marking the anniversary of the upcoming new games. The Steam Games Festival, a 48-hour online event showcasing 14 games, was held in December [December] in association with The Game Awards co-founder and Geoff Keighley.
The list of games and demos included during the Steam Games Festival Spring Edition is not yet available, and at will was revealed at the Steam store on Wednesday.
This will be the second example of the Steam Game Festival, and it comes at a critical time. These demos will provide a glimpse of indie titles that may have been overlooked or ignored due to the conference cancellation. The games will also swear to different types and settings; there should be something for everyone to sample.
Players will be able to find the event on The official Steam store's official page. The event begins Wednesday, March 18 at 10 a.m. PDT, then through March 23.
