During Sony’s State of Play livestream on January 31, the company gave us a look at developer Shift Up’s third-person character action game Starbladewhich looks both cool as hell and ridiculous as hell when you’re beating up robots in various outfits, including a bunny outfit because Playboy rabbits have to defend themselves too.
Formerly known as “Project Eve” Starblade follows a warrior named Eve as she attempts to retake Earth from alien invaders called NA:tives. To achieve this, equip Eve with all sorts of weapons to bully your enemies into submission and look stylish while doing it. That’s what character action games are all about, after all: style.
Of course, since this is an action RPG, you’ll unlock a variety of moves to add variety to combat. From a double jump to various grenades, Eve’s arsenal will expand as the journey progresses, allowing you to really put it into those NA:tives.
Over there the PlayStation Blogspoke game director Kim Hyung Tae StarbladeThe game’s story, the pre-order bonuses that include some additional accessories and outfits for Eve, and more. But let’s face it, we’re all here for the seizures. That’s the only thing that matters here, right? I mean, Eve is dressed in everything from a bikini to what looks like a peacock outfit. The outfits you can dress the protagonist in are brand new and are ideal as a fit check on social media sites such as Instagram and Pinterest. Sometimes you want to show off what you have in battle. The combat also looks pretty neat.
“This trailer contains a lot of content that you can experience first-hand in the game,” Tae said. “And is also intended to give you an understanding of the game mechanics and how the scenario flows, including the core battles.”
Starblade will be released on April 26th for PC and will eventually also be released on PC.
